Well I am really sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything or placed any new photos in the gallery. I have hundreds of photos but I put a few new ones in the photo gallery of Jan, Feb and March 2008 you can CLICK HERE for the new photos or go straight to the gallery link on the side of the page.
Since my last post in December there has been many fun and exciting things that have happened to all of us, where can I start...... 1) Sheryl and Jimmy had there little boy Anthony in March and he is a cutie. 2) Julie and Shaun announced there are expecting on 10-31-2008...what are the odds another Halloween baby. We are so excited for the two of them and I can't wait to be an Uncle again. 3) Hailey has 4 teeth and pretty much crawls or walks wherever she wants to and she will be 9 months this week!!! 4) Shaun got a new job and starts in a few weeks..you the man Shaun. 5) Tiffany and Jeff had their little boy Jaxon a few months back. 6) My mom turned 50 years old this past Feb and we had a blast in Incline Village....50 years old man oh man I am embarrassed for her. 7) Good friends of ours Dustin and Amy are getting married this June and we can't wait for that Our good friends JC and Kelli announced they are expecting another little one in the coming months. 9) My dad is very excited because he has a little over the year before he retires and I am sure my mom can't wait until she puts him to work at home. 10) I completed my first phase of P90X and in the middle of my second phase and I am in the best shape of my life. 11) Hailey celebrated her first Valentine’s day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and April fool's day! 12) I completed a 55 story stair race, and 1/2 marathon all in the same weekend...thank you all for your donations. 13) I am training for a mini triathlon and training in crossfit as well. 14) Nathan is going back to school in order to finish his degree I couldn't be more proud of him. He is one of the hardest working people at work, and even harder worker in life. 15) Jori is going and Justin are down in So Cal finishing up school and it was great seeing her for the week she was up here. She makes Hailey laugh so much it sucks she can't be here all the time. 16) I hunted my first turkey and landed one with a bow from 43 yards out. Turkey was around 35 lbs. and 6 years old. The guide said it was one of the largest turkeys she has seen on their ranch.
I can go on and on about stuff but the main point is that we all have been doing great since December. I know it is depressing out there, the economy is tough, many people are out of jobs, yet it seems like the price of living is always escalating. For me personally it has been very rough the past few months. With the nation, in what seems like a downward financial spiral, development and construction has crept to a crawl. However prices for material, especially steel, has risen to historic and unprecedented highs. With this combination it has made business extremely slow and dismal for many others. All I can say is I am very fortunate to have a job, my health, and a loving family to be with me every step. I promised my wife and others that I will stick it through even with bad months ahead, because I know in the future good things come to those who deserve it.
My words of encouragement I will offer this month are as follows; " I know it is inconceivable to control the inevitable.....work, job security, traffic, conference calls, bills, more bills, long hours at the office, medical conditions, did I mention bills yet. However the one thing in life I have taken control over since December has been my personal fitness and nutrition. I am not preaching but just passing on my thoughts of inspiration. I have noticed a complete change both physically and mentally from my changes. By just eating better, and exercising I have found a long lost release from life's everyday stresses. You don't need to be extreme just aware of what you are doing. Reducing soda, junk food, or fast food is a great start. Walking 4 times a week for 30 minutes is a great start as well. I know there are at least 12 people who are reading this that I have inspired to become active in fitness and proper nutrition since Dec 2007 and that is the most motivating thing to me. P90X is one of the greatest fitness programs around, and I am also completely sold on crossfit training. Whatever your passion is or whatever course you take, make goals for yourself and cast any doubts or worries aside. Don't do it for me, don't do it for anybody else besides yourself. Once you DECIDE what to do COMMIT to it and SUCCEED."
Sorry for the long rant but as you can tell I had a lot of catching up to do with you. Have a spectacular finish in April 2008 and I will talk to you as soon as I can.
Cheers,
Chris, Shannon & Hailey.

Hey everyone sorry for the lack of weekly messages.....sleep has been minimal but worth every minute we spend with Hailey.
WEEKLY MESSAGE 8-23-2007:
"As I get older I notice weeks feel like days, and the months pass by in a furious blur. My most favorite times are my weekends, I get two full days to spend with my wife, my daughter, and my family. Some cherish weekends because they don't have to work, however I hold these glorious two days sacred because all my greatest memories were made on these days. When I sat down and did some rough math I realized I have about 2,392 more weekends in my lifetime. 2,392 more weekends to watch my daughter grow up into a beautiful and intelligent replica of her mother. 2,392 more weekends to sleep in late with my wife and have a lazy Saturday breakfast. 2,392 more weekends to spend as much time with my mom, and dad or as long as their weekends last too. 2,392 more weekends to create countless memories with my sisters and brother. 2,392 more weekends to perfect my golf game, go boating, go hunting, and be myself with my family and friends. I make this simple but true point not for fear of my depleting weekends, but to remind myself to relish each of the 2,392 weekends I have waiting for me"
"This weekend will be number 2,391 and it will be the best weekend thus far!" "Take care and enjoy your number of weekends with family and friends!"

As I sit here in the early hours of the morning staring at Hailey I can't help to think of all the wonderful things that have happened and that will come to be. I think of all the family that are involved in my life, and those who were a part of my life growing up before they passed on. It is a major part of who I am because of who they are, and Hailey will be just as lucky to have the same family raise her as well. I wanted to post some new "Family Titles" and give those who will be a major part of our lives the recognition they deserve.

That's right!!! Hailey Rose King is here everyone!! I have to take a few minutes to explain the dramatic build up to her birth before I show you the links to the pictures.
I left town on Sunday afternoon (7-15-07) to Utah on a business trip. I traveled with Jeff V. and Mike L. from work and we had a great day of meeting clients all Monday long (7-16-07). Around 3:00am on the morning of Tuesday 7-17-07 Mike recieved a call from Erin McMillan stating that "Shannon's water broke and Chris needs to come home ASAP." I guess my phone was on vibrate and everyone was trying to call me to get me home. We scrambled, packed, returned our rental car, switched our flight, and landed back in Oakland, CA around 8:30 am. I owe Mike and Jeff big time for getting me back home so soon, and for making the crazy trip back home one I will never forget. When I arrived at the hospital all the family was there, and I owe them so much for being there when Shannon needed us most. Shannon was ok and once I was in the room I could tell by the look in her eyes she was relieved to see me. About 6 1/2 hours later she was ready to start pushing. 15-20 minutes into pushing Hailey was out in the new world kicking and screaming. She was 4 weeks early but still weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long, with a full head of hair and mommy's eyes. The doctor said if she went full term she would have easily been 9 1/2 to 10 lbs in weight, and let me tell you I do not know how Shannon would have managed that.
I want to thank all my family; Shelley, Sheryl, Nathan, Julie, Jori, Dad, Mom, Dana, Sigie, Jimmy, & Shaun for being there for Shannon while I was flying back. It just shows how great our family bond is and will be forever.
I also want to thank Shannon the most wonderful wife ever, and the best mother a daughter could have. She was not only amazing throughout the birth but a true champion through everything she endured. Seeing this miracle has given me a even greater respect that I already had for such an amazing woman. I love you Shannon.
I also want to thank everyone who came by to visit, and trust me even the nurses couldn't believe all the visitors we had. Shannon, Hailey and I are very lucky to have so many family and friends who care so much.
I have to tell you I am still in shock and I know Shannon is too, it is hard to believe something so beautiful and small came into this world and will be depending upon us to grow and thrive.
I have posted some initial pictures which are right after birth, and I have many more pictures and videos that I will be posting up shortly after these. You can CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES to see the day of delivery.
We will be home on Thursday 7-19-2007 and you are all more then welcomed to stop by on Friday 7-20-2007 and all throughout the weekend to say hello to the new King addition. Give me a call if you need directions and I will have plenty of food and drinks for all to have when the come and visit.
Shannon and I love you all, and thank you for making the greatest day of our lives possible and an unforgettable day.
P.S. Thanks again Mike and Jeff I will never forget your help.
Chris, Shannon, and baby Hailey.

California Drivers:
"Is it so @#$*#&$ hard to look over your shoulder, or perhaps use your damn mirror before changing lanes or merging onto the freeway? Here is an idea.........LEARN TO DRIVE!"
Thanks and tune in for next weeks message, and be safe out there on the roads, the DMV loves to give a drivers license to anyone with a heartbeat and a checkbook.
Peace.
I know this entry is long over due but I finally have posted the few pictures I took of the trip I made to Tampa, Florida a month ago. My great friends from Ohio and I all flew over to Florida to surprise JC on his birthday. His wife Kelly put together an awesome agenda of deep sea fishing, golfing, a beach trip, and plenty of drinking and eating. CLICK HERE to see the pictures of the trip. We had a blast and the only pictures I regret not taking were from the REUNION RESORT GOLF COURSE, which has to be one of the top 2 courses I have ever played at.
Cheers,
Chris

"Remember life comes at you fast. Life is never fair, however things always seem to work out.... with that said make sure you get laid as much as possible!"
Chris
First off sorry for not putting much up here lately it has been crazy busy. Shannon and I are going to be proud parents of a baby girl.....Hailey Rose King. Shannon is due August 10 but who knows. She is either going to be the youngest Karate kid or an excellent swimmer because she kicks like a mule.....and non-stop too. Things have been great, the house has had a face lfit to welcome baby Hailey and Shannon has been extremely fortunate from friends and family for her baby showers.....I swear I can open a baby store in my garage and do fine for a couple years.
We will keep you updated but has for now here is the latest and greatest artist creation of baby Hailey's picture...thanks Brian.

Yes finally a sonogram that looks more and more like me everyday. I am excited, yet somewhat depressed to admit that baby king's recent photo shoot in Shannon's belly looks like dear old dad. I always knew I was ugly, but I never knew how goofy I really looked.
Please refrain from any smart ass comment.......oh who am I kidding talk all the crap you want about my goofy ass, I deserve it.

Can you believe the State of California actually let me reproduce? Well believe it. Shannon is a little over 12 weeks pregnant. The baby is over 3 inches long, and in great condition according to the sonograms and doctor visits. Doctors have been taking real good care of her after our last unfortunate event. The most popular question we have been asked is if we wanted a boy or a girl? We both have our picks but I think the most important thing to Shannon and I is that we have a happy and healthy baby. I am not going to lie I have been extremely nervous and mostly nervous about Shannon's health, I don't know what I would do without her and all of you who know me probably agree with that statement. I will start posting pictures and updates about our 9 month journey. We both came up with an idea where we are taking side profile pictures of here belly each week to show the growth in the next 9 months. Stay tuned for some cool updates.
CLICK HERE to see baby King's photo shoot
Cheers,
Chris
P.S. I am still wondering why our future baby slighlty resembles my friend Brian.....he will have some questions to answer later.
